Litres / year (category) = Litres per day x Days

m3 / year = Sum of litres / 1000

Cost = m3 x Cost per m3

Saving = Sum(Litres/year x Reduction %) / 1000 x Cost per m3

Example: Three Use Categories

  • Dishwasher: 240 L + Kitchen: 150 L + Restrooms: 200 L = 590 L/day
  • Annual: 590 x 330 days = 194.7 m3 / year
  • Cost: 194.7 x €2.20/m3 = ~€428 / year
  • Scenario:−20% on the dishwasher → a saving of a few tens of euros a year
